Kihikihi School - Learners today, Leaders tomorrow - He tangata ako, he whānau ako

Enrolment at Kihikihi School

Starting school for the first time

Cohort Entry

Previously at Kihikihi School, children have been able to start school on or after their 5th birthday.  However, at Kihikihi School we have adopted a Cohort Entry policy from Term 2, 2020.  Cohort entry is when new entrants start school in groups through the year rather than on their fifth birthday.

Under cohort entry there are two entry points per term, one on the first day of term and one at a mid point during the term.  Children will need to have had their 5th birthday on or before the cohort entry start date.

Cohort Entry Start dates 2020

Term 2: 28 April (start of Term) and 2 June (mid Term date)
Term 3: 20 July (start of Term) and 24 August (mid Term date)
Term 4: 12 October (start of Term) and 16 November (mid Term date)

School Visit dates 2020
