Kia ora. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa. Greetings and welcome to you all.
Here at Kihikihi School we are very committed to our whānau focused school where everyone is involved and develops a shared sense of who we are and what our desires are for our tamariki.
We are a dual medium school, which means we have some students learning in the English medium and some students learning in immersion Te Reo Māori. We have a very culturally rich school and are very proud of our tamariki, kaiako (teachers), our staff and our whānau.
We believe in "kotahitanga", reflected in the way that even though we are all individually different, and even though students and staff work in an English or Māori medium, we are still on a "waka" journeying together to gain better understanding and to learning together. Another key value which is incorporated in our curriculum is manaakitanga. We aim to build caring, respect and appreciation or in other words "aroha" for all others through our actions, thoughts and ways we speak.
Spend some time looking around our website to see the richness of our school. There is much on offer here for tamariki beyond the core literacy and numeracy programmes we run at school.
