Tēnā Koutou. Welcome to Kihikihi School
Kia ora. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa.
Greetings and welcome to you all.
Here at Kihikihi School we are very committed to our whānau focused school where everyone is involved and develops a shared sense of who we are and what our desires are for our tamariki.
We are a Dual Medium School, which means we have some students learning in the English medium and some students learning in immmersion Te Reo Māori. We have a very culturally rich school and are very proud of our tamariki, kaiako (teachers), our staff and our whānau.
One of our key values is "kotahitanga", reflected in the way that even though we are all individually different, and even though students and staff work in an English or Māori medium, we are still on one "waka" journeying together to gain better understanding and to learn together. In 2014, we have identified three other key values which are being incorporated in our curriculum. These are respect, manaakitanga and integrity. Manaakitanga is the value reflecting showing manaaki, caring for and considering the needs of others
Spend some time looking around our site to see the richness of our school. There is much on offer here for tamariki beyond the core literacy and numeracy programmes we run at school.
